Each ITM... Each tickets... each satellites or phase 2's won are the good times playing in Pokerstars. I remember the day when I first heard of online poker via radio. I thought that this is my chance to learn how to play the game and why most people are addicted to it.
And that started it! After installing Pokerstars for the first time I thought that it was only a single game... but then I saw those other card games such as omaha, razz, stud, etc, and also under different categories as No Limit, Limit, Pot Limit. I never thought that poker was a wide range of games. But I only studied 1 game most famous of all... No Limit Holdem Poker.
I played the playmoney tables during my first few days to better understand the game. Then I learned that they also have these freerolls where I can win real money so I started to play a lot of them. Then it happened... my very first real money win playing online poker :-) and I still have a picture of it!

That was it! My very best moment playing in Pokerstars! I said to myself "Hell! I can win really really big in this! May be I can even buy my own car playing this thing!!!" I got hooked to the game since. From there I played lots and lots of game, and I would not even sleep just to play those tournaments in the middle of the night. I started grinding and grinding and joining forums and engaged in some tips on how to play some hand situations which helped me a lot to know more about odds, BR managements, equities...etc. I got better and better learning that variance is part of the game and should not be too affected by a series of loses. My biggest win so far is from the forum Cardschat.

After that game I thought I could rule the world and take every game I play... I was wrong! LOL! Since then I aimed to make it to the higher stakes but I never did. It will be one of my life's goal to win a big one someday. May it be from freerolls, cash games, or tournaments.. I will always play my best.
After winning a couple of games, I manage to gain enough money to withdraw my first paycheck (after playing for 3 years...LOL!).
It isn't much but I need to feel this check... smell it... caress it.... put it under my pillow... dream with it... then eventually deposit it to Pokerstars again! hahaha!! Crazy as it is but it really felt good having one.
Don't laugh but that first win and first paycheck was way back 2008. And I'm still trying to win a big one until now. Yes, you are right... I'm a donkey! A losing player because after 8 years of playing... I'm still in the MICROS!!! But that never stopped me from achieving my goal. And besides, Pokerstars offer a lot of ways for me to achieve it and still they are coming up new and better promotions every year! I mean who could resist the game even if you're a LOSER!
I have played in a lot of poker clients as well but I never stopped playing on Pokerstars unlike the other sites. I only wish I could also have rakeback, which is one thing I regret but nevertheless, I still get to have other bonuses which is enough. To give you a glimpse of my stat...
Yes, I've been struggling a lot since last year. Losing here and there. Mostly SnGs. But that never stopped me from loving the game. I play because I enjoy the challenge. And if I could make another 1st place win, it would remind me again of that feeling 8 years ago when I made my 30cents!
